Partnering with Primat

Requirement

In September 2018 WorleyParsons were awarded a five-year contract by Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) for the provision of engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) services.

Solution

Primat Recruitment were selected as the recruitment partner for the Wilton site, responsible for the transition and ongoing management of the existing contractor population as well as providing recruitment services for all new contractor hires. We successfully transferred 65 contractors engaged by several agencies to Primat within 4 weeks minimising disruption to operational delivery.

A key element of the transfer activity was to align the contractor pay and charge rates to create consistency across all disciplines whilst also ensuring all rates fit within our client’s contractual bandings.

All contractors were screened and on-boarded with 100% successful payroll deployment for week 1 of the contract.

Outcome

As a result of the contract transition, the project were left with a short fall of 30+ personnel across a range of functions and engineering disciplines. We successfully resourced and filled 32 roles in a 4-week period mitigating impact to the portfolio of ongoing projects.
