Job Description

Primat recruitment is seeking a Visa and Mobility Advisor in London to start a 12 month contract working for a large, multinational energy and resources company.
The role is part of the People team, supporting the delivery of our clients people agenda by providing a variety of professional services related to the mobility of people, to ensure resources are on boarded and off boarded efficiently and cost effectively.
In this role you are the key point of contact for all mobility issues in the UK and will work as a liaison between multiple departments/ locations to ensure that goals and KPIs related to people resources are achieved.
A thorough knowledge and understanding of all applicable mobility practices, local employment laws and taxation regulations impacting the area of speciality is required.
Typical interfaces will be more localised to a single location/region, but global mobility and visa coordination may still be required.

Key responsibilities of the role are:

- Act as main point of contact for UK expat issues, support expats working on projects by providing expert advice to the HR generalists.

- Facilitate good practice to manage inbound and outbound transfers in line with the Global Mobility Framework.

- Vendor management of internal and external specialists providing services to the business and allow a best practice approach.

- Ensure that all aspects of the International Assignees life cycle, from posting to repatriation/retirement, are delivered in a 100% accurate, timely and confidential manner.

- Counsel and educate stakeholders by providing interpretation on policies, tax implications, regulations and programs regarding global mobility and immigration-related matters.

- Prepares individual transferee packages and assignment documentation to include home treatment letters, employment contracts, HRIS change forms and interacts with senior stakeholders for obtaining appropriate approvals.

- Manages relationship with Newland Chase and provides all visa application support documentation - employer letters, payslip authorisation, travel letters, LOIs, maintenance letters - Job Descriptions on an ad-hoc basis.

- Provides general HR documentation for visa nationals - employer letters, accommodation reference letters, bank letters, Welcome to UK info.

- Responsible for making sure our client is compliant with current UKBA regulations - filing and logging of required documentation, auditing of right to work documentation for all Staff employees and new starters, auditing GBS records and personal HR files.

- Track "visa life" of visa nationals - Staff and Agency to make sure employees have up-to-date right to work and WP has a verified copy of documentation.

Key experience needed:

- Experience of an in-house consultancy role.

- Strong background in global mobility, international assignments or expatriate management.

- Excellent understanding of the assignment life cycle and the associated issues in the end-to-end process.

- Working knowledge and experience with all HR functions and practices including recruitment, selection/promotion, remuneration, learning and development and HR policy development.

- Knowledge of international medical and benefit plans.

- Demonstrated success in facilitating program implementation and change management processes.

- Graduate calibre with relevant work related experience.

- Familiar with Oracle/ SAP software and competent with MS Office.

- High customer service focus.
