Duration: 12 Months+

WorleyParsons is currently recruiting for a Turbine Technician for a 12 month contract
Purpose/Role:
Ensure all Turbines & rotating equipment are defined in the CMMS system in accordance with all company & vendor processes & procedures to ensure they are operated & maintained correctly at all times

The role will be rotational in Singapore build site until approximately May 2018 (4/4), prior to North Sea rotation for Hook- up & Commissioning (HUC) phase (3/3)

This position will support SEAMLESS production startup & daily operations & maintenance during operational phase circa July 2019. Responsible for offshore maintenance & safe operation of the Turbine & rotating equipment & systems, & daily reporting of status


Key aims & objectives:

  • This shall be carried out in accordance with the legislative requirements, company health, safety, environmental, integrity policies, & company procedures.
  • Actively support a working environment based on respect for health, safety & environmental issues & supporting the development of a high level of asset integrity & reliability in the design to deliver Operational & Maintenance Excellence in subsequent Operations

Prime responsibilities & duties:

  • Provide proactive & visible HS&E leadership
  • Record equipment history accurately, provide reports & communicate all activities via the Daily Report & SAP at all times & maintain appropriate stocks of critical spares & consumables, with a requirement to regularly revisit min-max stock levels based on system performance
  • Tracking & reporting of hired equipment ensuring that certification is always in place & available for check/audit
  • Support the development & implementation of the Maintenance Build (including SAP, Maintenance & Assurance Schedules) for Turbine & rotating equipment & all associated systems
  • Work with the Project Team to develop the interfaces between Maintenance, Operations, Construction & the HUC Team to deliver a smooth, Incident Free startup of Culzean production
  • Actively participate in all BI/OE/RCA related activity & ensure consistency with PM strategy
  • Continually monitor all Reliability & Maintenance Work Flows / KPI related business targets & capture any non-performance

In Operations:

  • Execute duties as specified in the emergency response procedures or as directed by OIM
  • Participate as a member of the Maintenance Supervisors team in delivering Maersk Oil UK performance against agreed targets
  • Ensure the Turbine Tech duties are executed efficiently, liaising with other departments Leads to minimise equipment down time
  • Highlight defects with procedures, equipment & tools to the attention of relevant staff ensuring reported accurately & in recognised systems
  • Record in HEART any task that is stopped for a Time out for Safety (TofS)
  • Member of local emergency control team as required by the Deputy OIM / Maintenance Supervisor
  • Allied occasional duties:In accordance with Delegation of Authorities:
  • Provide leadership, set expectations, coach & mentor with regards to acceptable attitudes & behaviours. Sharing knowledge & best practices also be accountable for all analysis & reporting of results & for raising SAP PRs (Purchase Requisitions) for production chemicals, laboratory consumables & equipment

Key internal interfaces-Offshore: OIM / Deputy OIM/Maintenance Supervisor/Discipline leads & Project HUC team (Until circa July 2019)

Experience-Essential/Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the Oil & Gas Industry & be competent in the fundamentals of rotating equipment operations
  • Maintenance support or technical engineering discipline experience in oil & gas processing plant

Desirable:

  • Prior SAP / CMMS /Commissioning experience advantageous also a track record of influencing others in pursuit of delivery of stated objectives
  • The ability to analyse operational & maintenance data & use this to problem solve in a structured manner & ability to lead investigation teams & influence/work with others across the organisation, including third party contractors
  • Provide proactive, visible & well developed SHE leadership, demonstrating commitment to safety through language, behaviour & actions, complying with WorleyParsons Safety Rules & committed to zero tolerance of unsafe acts

Competencies-Generic/Technical

  • Knowledge of Condition Monitoring & Vibration Analysis Techniques & maintenance strategies & equipment failure modes
  • Detailed knowledge of Turbines & rotating machinery applicable to offshore oil & gas assets associated technical st&ards, processes & relevant legislation
  • Competent to conduct fault finding, installation, isolation & re-instatement of Turbine & rotating systems & equipment & have a track record of using RCFA, 5 whys or other similar defect investigation techniques
