Job Description

I am recruiting on behalf of my client for the role of Tekla Draughtsman with experience in Tekla Structures required to join an industry leading structural engineering company based in Teesside. They have a fantastic reputation for completing many different projects throughout the UK. They specialise in the installation of structural steel within many sectors, including Oil and Gas and Aviation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experience Tekla Draughtsman to progress their career within an outstanding company.


The most suitable Tekla Draughtsman will have a good understanding of Tekla Structures previously and have a background within the steel framing or structural steel work sector.

For the role of Tekla Draughtsman you will be responsible for

  • Producing 3D models of steel structures using Tekla Structures
  • Working in the drawing office
  • Producing and checking general arrangements, fabrication drawings and CAM data
  • Work closely with other designers and clients to ensure projects are completed on time
  • Using in house works management systems (full training will be given)

To be considered for the role of Tekla Draughtsman you must have

  • At least 2 years of experience using Tekla Structures
  • An extensive knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Steel framing or structural steelwork background
  • Good communication skills
  • A Good eye for detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independantly

Although not essential, your own transport would be an advantage.
