Job Description

Worley are currently recruiting for a Senior Quality Engineer to join our Oil and Gas project delivery operation based in Aberdeen for a duration of 6 months.

You will join the Quality Department which aims to add value to both the business and the client base. Quality provides the necessary skills that assures and controls both the internal business management system and client contracts and projects. Our Quality assurance processes provide confidence that the various functions are following the Worley procedures as required by certification such as ISO 9001:2008, through a rigorous and systematic audit programme demonstrating, continual improvement, and proactive interventions.

Project

Your skills and expertise will be utilised across a range of domestic and international projects, starting in the bid phase, continuing through to award, start up and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the close out of quality risks in accordance with the risk management system
  • Liaise with client and regulatory bodies as directed by the project Quality Manager
  • Co-ordinate and conduct both internal and external audit activities
  • Provide input and support the sub contractor/supplier evaluation process and monitor sub-contractors/suppliers performance
  • To plan and lead (as necessary), assessment visits/audits to suppliers and sub-contractors as agreed
  • To report promptly to the Project Quality Manager all matters related to Project Quality Management System performance
  • Ensure that all necessary quality records are identified and retained in accordance with Project, Client and regulatory requirements
  • Undertake as necessary awareness training in the project Quality Management System, procedures and applications

Role Requirements

  • HNC (or equivalent)
  • Member/Associate of Chartered Quality Institute
  • Lead Auditor - Previous experience in a certification engineer position or similar
  • In depth knowledge of PED/ATEX requirements
  • Has QMS Experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry
  • Has good knowledge of management systems including ISO 9001:2008 and its application in projects
  • Has successfully completed a recognised Lead auditor training course
  • Holds an offshore survival certificate
