WorleyParsons is currently looking to recruit a Senior Planning Engineer based in Aberdeen on a contract basis for 12 months.
Role
Sitting within Technical Services, providing project planning support to facilitate the delivery of TEP UK objectives through safe, timely and cost effective delivery of Projects, Modifications and Campaigns.
Responsibilities
Reporting to Project Services Coordinator, the Project Planner will be required to support Projects and Engineering activities across the business. Responsibilities include:
Planning
- Acts as Planning focal point for specific project scopes
- Develop and maintain planning control structures in alignment with approved project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
- Develop and maintain baseline project plans and schedules using Primavera.
- Monitor and control planning activities through all phases of project lifecycle
- Liaise with engineering, procurement and construction functions, and others as required, including third parties, to maintain awareness of project activities, their status, and their impact on the project schedule and manpower requirements.
- Provide copies of project plans and schedules in accordance with project reporting requirements.
- Provide copies of project progress and performance status reports in accordance with project reporting requirements.
Reporting
- Provide copies of project plans and schedules in accordance with project reporting requirements as per Total company rules.

Role Requirements
- Sound knowledge of planning techniques including planning and scheduling software (Primavera) and management software (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
- Experience in oil and gas engineering and construction gained through 10 years' experience of construction projects. Preferably in Subsea and Topsides Construction & Decommissioning
- Experience working within an Operator.
- Proven ability to maintain accurate and detailed planning documentation.
- Ability to perform accurate progress monitoring and forecast systems.
- Schedule analysis experience which can provide recommendations to optimise remaining schedule activities.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to work well under pressure either unsupervised or as part of a team.
