Job Description

WorleyParsons is currently looking to recruit a Senior Cost Engineer based in Altens, Aberdeen on a contract basis for 12 months intially.

Role

Sitting within Technical Services, providing project cost support to facilitate the delivery of TEP UK objectives through safe, timely and cost effective delivery of Projects, Modifications and Campaigns.

Responsibilities

Reporting to Project Services Coordinator, the Project Cost Engineer will be required to support Projects activities across the business. Responsibilities include:

  • Support/develop full project cost estimate (in O&G UK WBS)
  • Prepare for FID decision gate
  • Management of VOWD and Accruals
  • Forecast/phasing input for ENS Cost Analyst
  • Control/interface with Contract Engineer on compliance and invoicing.
  • Prepare timely and accurate cost reporting for both internal and external clients
  • Analyse actual costs and forecast expenditure as directed and provide details on variances between budget and forecast
  • Adhoc queries and response to ENS

Role Requirements

Essential:

  • Preferably a graduate in a relevant discipline
  • Previous experience in the oil/gas industry with cost reporting experience
  • Knowledge of OGUK decommissioning work breakdown structure
  • Previous decommissioning and subsea project experience desirable
  • Detailed understanding of cost control / cost accounting principles
  • Analytical skills with a knowledge of financial analysis techniques and economic measures
  • Computer literate, with experience of SAP, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Team player with ability to work on own initiative

Desirable:

  • Previous decommissioning experience
  • Previous subsea projects or campaign experience
  • SAP experience
