Primat Recruitment are looking for a Senior Civil and Structural Engineer to join one of the market leaders in key products such as ethylene, ethylene glycol, methanol, MTBE, polyethylene and engineering plastics and its derivatives.

The role is based in Redcar, England and is expected to last for a 6 month period.

As a Senior Civil and Structural Engineer, you will act as a Structural Engineer as part of the CSA team and the wider Multi-Discipline team as part of the company Portfolio Alliance Project.

Key Responsabilities

  • Adherence to company safety practices.

  • Production & Checking of Structural designs and deliverables on an operation brownfield tier 1 COMAH site.

  • Site Surveys.

  • Attendance at project meetings.

  • Attendance at company client meetings.

  • Scheduling and completion of work to agreed milestones.

  • Use and compliance with International & company standards.

  • Use of company document management system.

  • Liaison with GID Office..

Qualifcations, Training and Experience

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in appropriate engineering subject.

  • Previous Brownfield experience is preferred.

  • Global and local structural Analysis

  • Previous experience with connection design.

  • Previous use of STAAD.Pro

  • Competent in the use of appropriate codes of practice, standards and relevant sections of statutory documentation.

  • Competent in the use of design and assessment methods used within discipline.

  • Competent in use of analytical methods used within discipline including theoretical background for analysis programs.

  • Competent in quality control requirements and quality assurance for engineering work.

  • Competent in design safety/environmental requirements, procedures and responsibilities.

  • Able to technically direct design personnel within discipline.
