Primat is recruiting for a Scheduler to join one of the UK's leading Oil & Gas operators for a 9-month contract based in Aberdeen.

The role of a Scheduler is to build a draft and schedule on the basis of Work Order priority, resource availability and equipment availability accordance with the Work Management Execution Process in support of asset planning process.

Ensure the maintenance team delivers activities on the assets in a safe and efficient manner that is in accordance with the agreed asset plan and in compliance with work process and procedures for all maintenance activity

Key Responsibilities

  • Organising, planning and executing the maintenance regime
  • Management of the planned maintenance system
  • Supervision of all maintenance staff and other resources
  • Ensuring that all plant and equipment is available to meet production and other performance targets
  • Recording the total maintenance effort and implementation of a continuous performance improvement programme
  • Ensuring that all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in accordance with the permit to work system
  • Responsible for spares and maintenance equipment management on location
  • Responsible for overall plant and equipment availability
  • Developing an awareness of the cost of maintenance activities
  • Accountable for their own safety and performance and that of the maintenance department
  • Responsible for ensuring that STOP (Safety Training Observation Programme), and performance through HSE is embedded within the maintenance team
  • Will be required to take up emergency response duties as deemed necessary on the installation
  • Deliver personal and teams KPI's (key Performance Indicators) against safety, quality, productivity, plan attainment and cost
  • Maintenance Data scheduling


  • Minimum Technical apprenticeship or equivalent training scheme, plus HNC (post 2009 offshore apprenticeship)
  • Comprehensive experience in the role as a senior responsible person on a permanently manned producing installation



  • Significant experience and knowledge of Maintenance Management Systems
  • Comprehensive experience within the Oil & Gas industry in a similar role
  • Previous 'hands on' experience in an oil & gas environment with regard to installation maintenance activities
  • Proficient in Maximo


  • Experienced in the coordination of specialist vendor activities
  • Some commercial awareness with regard to the above
