Job Description

WorleyParsons are recruiting a Reliability Technician for our Marathon Project to work on the East Brae Platform

Key responsibilities:

  • Promote safety in all day to day activities
  • Report and record all Health, Safety and Environmental related activities and incidents
  • Perform Toolbox Talks to work parties
  • Actively participate in safety improvement plans and systems, including; STOP and ASBA
  • Ensure maintenance records are maintained up-to-date and accurate
  • Recording test results and compiling adequate "As Built" drawings of any 'on site' changes
  • Raise Permits, Risk Assessments and all associated certification
  • Finding and remedying faults on plant and equipment
  • Appreciation of all discipline related tools
  • Enter accurate and appropriate information into SAP
  • Become familiar with platform plant and systems
  • Stand in as Mechanical Technician when required

Ideally, candidates will also have the following skills and experience:

Experience:

  • Vibration data collection and analysis
  • Experience in completing lubrication routines in accordance with LMS2000 Implement any remedial actions identified by Castrol lube oil analysis reports
  • Experience in collecting lubrication samples and return for analysis
  • Experience in the conducting specific offshore lube oil analysis including Karl Fischer water content testing and Particle Count Tests) in accordance with applicable procedures
  • Conversant with all drawings specific to discipline
  • Knowledge and a good understanding of Thermal Imaging
  • Trained and experienced in permit to work principles and application
  • Understand the process and role of a competent person
  • Knowledge of equipment and plant certification requirements
  • Use of portable hand and bench power tools including the use of hand held greasing equipment.
  • Be familiar with current legislation

Desirable:

  • Experienced in the use of SKF Aptitude software and conversant with Microlog data collectors.
  • Experienced in the use and application of IOTECH Zonicbook equipment.
  • Have knowledge of Kewbic lubrication databases
  • Have a good understanding of all discipline activities

Personal Qualities, aptitude and skills:

  • Promote safety in all day to day activitiesReport and record all Health, Safety and Environmental related activities and incidents
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present technical issues in a clear and concise manner.
  • Perform Toolbox Talks to work parties
  • Actively participate in safety improvement plans and systems, including; STOP and ASBA Ensure maintenance records are maintained up-to-date and accurate
  • Recording test results and compiling adequate "As Built" drawings of any 'on site' changes
  • Raise Permits, Risk Assessments and all associated certification
  • Finding and remedying faults on plant and equipment
  • Appreciation of all discipline related tools Enter accurate and appropriate information into SAP Become familiar with platform plant and systems Stand in as Mechanical Technician when required

Qualifications / Training:

  • Recognised apprenticeship or training scheme A minimum HNC or NVQ level 3 equivalent.
  • BINDT/ISO 18436-2 Vibration Analysis level 2 certified
  • Certified to Level 1 ITC in the use of Thermal imaging equipment
  • Offshore experience in a maintenance environment
  • BOSIET / MIST / OGUK Medical

Desirable:

  • Certified to Level 1 in Mastering Lubrication Technology
