Job Description

Primat recruitment is seeking a Project Planning Engineer to join a large international team in Stockton-On-Tees. Our client is expanding its minerals business internationally. The company provides engineering and construction services to the minerals industry, specifically focusing on continental & eastern Europe, Scandinavia, Africa and Russia.

This position is office based and is supporting the design of a project taking place in the North East. Design responsibilities are split between a location in Teesside and a location in India, so frequent liaising between the teams will be part of your role.

- Performs their duties under the supervision of the Lead Planning Engineer.

- Supports all Planning duties in the home office, the role may require occasional visits to site.

- Responsible for the implementation, maintenance and updating of the progress measurement system for home office engineering and supply chain activities.

- Liaise with the construction planner to understand the construction progress status and incorporates into the overall project progress measure.

- Assist the project control manager with the weekly and monthly reporting of project progress and performance.

- Coordinates progress updates with the discipline leads and managers.

Essential:

- Proven track record of rules of credit progress measurement systems at deliverable level.

- An understanding of Work Breakdown Structures and organisational coding systems.

- Competent in Ecosys or other professional cost system.

- Understanding of how other corporate systems work and interface with project progress measurement systems, especially project planning packages.
