Job Description

Key aims and objectives

  • Adhere to MOUK Commitment to Incident Free operations.
  • Undertake the following Production activities in Commissioning & HUC to achieve first gas:
  • Witness & support as agreed equipment SATs prior to sail-away, with particular focus on Process & Utility systems, liaising with all stakeholders
  • Witness leak testing, hydratest and JIM make up activities
  • Work with the Project Team to develop the interface between Maintenance, Operations, Construction & HUC Team to deliver an efficient, Incident Free startup of Culzean production
  • Transfer to offshore rota to support HUC & subsequent operations.

Prime responsibilities and duties

  • Develop knowledge of the Wellheads, process plant & controls including their function & operation
  • Execute duties & emergency response procedures or as directed by the OIM
  • Safely & efficiently operate process systems from either the Central Control Room or equipment local panels, monitor plant conditions & respond correctly to alarm conditions
  • Responsible for completing verification assurance & routine maintenance activities and maintaining accurate records
  • Responsible for first line maintenance and fault investigation on Production related equipment
  • Responsible for the preparation of equipment for intrusive maintenance
  • Maintain proper process plant records, log sheets & equipment running data sheets,
  • Prepare production wells for testing, carry out the tests as specified & complete the well test reports
  • Monitor general plant condition, keep production areas tidy, & monitor other ongoing activities within the process areas to maintain housekeeping standards
  • Carry out the role of Area Operator & Isolating Authority in the preparation of process plant and equipment maintenance as specified on the relevant plant isolation certificate, Permit to Work or process plant operating procedures
  • On completion of maintenance work, inspect the plant / equipment for integrity prior to start-up, ensure site is clean & tidy & when instructed, start the plant/equipment either for test or return to normal service, in consultation with the CRO
  • Comply with Company procedures and ensure a full & comprehensive handover
  • Carry out process systems sampling activities, process sampling and prepare results as required, monitor chemical injection rates and maintain tank levels and stocks
  • Commit to MOUK Competence Assurance System & undertake any training required for the role.

Allied occasional duties

  • Responsible for the health, safety & welfare of self and others in compliance with HS WA, & areas of environment pertaining to the position.

  • Maintenance Supervisor, Ops Coordinator, Discipline leads

  • Operations Manager
  • EPC Contractor Detailed Design Team
  • Installation Support Team

Qualifications/Training - Essential:

  • N/SVQ Processing Operations Hydrocarbons level 3
  • Technical apprenticeship OR Technical qualification (process plant operator, HNC level with NVQ/SVQ Level 2

Experience - Essential:

  • Experience of offshore production operations

Experience - Desirable:

Strong preference for experience of Platforms, uHPHT, SAT / FAT / commissioning, knowledge of dry trees, drilling, intervention & centrifugal compressors

Personal qualities, aptitudes and skills

  • Create positive relations to peers & stakeholders internally & externally

Competencies - Generic

  • Experience of organising, coordinating and controlling/ monitoring work (including vendors)
  • Written and verbal communication skills

Competencies - Technical

  • Competent in the design, application & verification of process isolations

Competencies - Project specific

  • Administration, control & use of Control of Work systems including permit to work procedures
