Job Description

WorleyParsons is currently recruiting a Planning Technician to join our Offshore Project Delivery Team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an offshore role, working on a 3/3 rota.

Role Overview

Operate the planning system as per the approved procedures and processes to support the Planning Supervisors and Platform Supervision. Ensure that effective use is made of EPM/SAP and other administrative systems to assist to drive the platform teams to complete the quarterly plans safely and efficiently.

Key Aims and Responsibilities


The Planning function is essential to facilitating the safe and efficient operation of the Brae Field. The job holder must work closely with Onshore and Offshore Planning Supervision to assist in the creation and execution of each Quarter Plans thereby enabling Platform to consistently attain greater than 85% Plan Attainment and above.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compliance with EPM Procedures to support achievement of consistent greater than 85% Plan Attainment.
  • To produce high visibility and fully resourced plans for the daily progress meeting, for the 10 day and for the 4wk look-ahead meeting as directed by the Maintenance/Plannin
  • Supervisor or Planning I Project Co-ordinator on East Brae
  • Input necessary information to EPM I SAP to allow correct scheduling of activities and resources as well as reporting of work completion.
  • Record and update equipment maintenance history into SAP and process associated documentation (PMR's,Work Orders, Deferments) to ensure the system is kept up to date. Input information into EPM I SAP in the form of notifications, planning information, material requests etc. Run SAP reports to establish the status of materials, PMR's etc.
  • Provide support, guidance and 1st line training to users of EPM I SAP and other computer based systems to ensure effective use is made of these systems.
  • Monitor the quality of the data being recorded in SAP and other computer based system and highlight any discrepancies to platform supervision.
  • Process TMR's, Deferrals, Concessions, OAR's etc as directed by Platform Supervision
  • Administer weekly checks register, mobile plant checks and ESDV testing programme and other platform systems.
  • Generate metric reports to enable accurate tracking of maintenance and construction performance against plan.
  • Liaise with vendors, onshore departments and logistics with respect to the mobilisation of personnel and equipment
  • Assist in the maintenance of platform based databases to ensure that required information is properly archived and can be readily retrieved for audit or to assist with planning similar work in the future.
  • Participate in user testing of any changes to EPM I SAP or other computer based systems.
  • Maintain and update the platform technical library.
  • Undertake other administrative, clerical and technical support duties as required for platform management and supervision.
  • Promote the use of EPM & compliance with procedures as per Brae Delivery Performance
  • To maintain up-to-date, accurate, computerised and manual administrative systems for both maintenance and operations departments: to achieve this in a timely manner, with minimal supervision,and within tight deadlines.

Role Requirements

  • Computer competence to user level in: Excel, Word, and proficient in the use of SAP and
  • MS Project within the Marathon Planning System Enterprise Project Management {EPM).
  • Must have clerical I administrative experience preferably in an offshore or onshore technical environment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Can work as integrated member of Platform and Onshore Planning Team.
  • Team Player and Collaborative
  • Current Offshore Medical and FOET Certification
  • Knowledge of 04 Permit to Work System
  • Stop and ABSA trained
