Job Description

Worley, is looking for a Piping Field Engineer to join our Oil and Gas project delivery operation based on site at Leman Alpha for an initial duration of 3-4 months.

You will join our Construction Management Team of highly experienced and competent construction personnel who manage and facilitate construction teams, materials, tools, plant and equipment. We execute established 'best practice' construction working practices, procedures and systems, supporting safe and effective execution of Brownfield and Asset Management projects both onshore and offshore.

The Construction function responsibilities include; input into design ensuring implementation of construction best practice and development of optimum, sequenced build philosophies in support of schedule and cost reduction. Management and execution of offshore hook up of new facilities and extensive offshore modification work scopes (Brownfield). In addition, the provision of construction management services globally, to manage third party construction and fabrication facilities on behalf of clients.

Project

Thie role will have various responsibilities;

reporting to the CSM and PVIE will be the main focal point for engineering interfaces, ensuring engineering queries are managed and actioned as soon as possible to ensure no hold ups in construction.

Key Responsibilities

  • To ensure all EQ's are managed, recorded, logged and actions completed as per the EQ.
  • Will be focal point for ongoing field engineering, surveys and data gathering required by the worley Engineering team based in Aberdeen.
  • Act as the interface for all vendors.
  • Working from the project plan will be responsible for initiating mobilisation of the vendors or required dates.
  • Ensuring that the vendors fully understand their scope of works, tools, plant and equipment requirements
  • Responsbile for accurate management of completions data and delivery of system / sub-system handovers in line with project requirements and schedule.
  • Day to day operation and control of the mechanical completion and system completion records
  • Control of change to the completions management in line with project change control procedures.
  • Compilation and verification of mechanical completion handover packages in line with agreed system handover schedule.
  • Ensuring mechanical completion data, documentation and hand-overs are in line with agreed project procedures
  • Adherence to all applicable site / project safety procedures.
  • Ensure that all Project / Company HSE goals are achieved and where possible exceeded.
  • To ensure that all construction personnel at Project level are aware of / implement safe working practices / procedures and are provided with a safe working environment.
  • Deliver a high standard construction capability at Project level, ensuring a consistant and efficient approach is implemented at all times.
  • Develop work scope estimates and register changes with supporting documentation.
  • Conduct surveys with design team.
  • Commitment to and promotion of worley's values and ensuring the realisation of company and project health, safety, environmental, quality and ethics, systems, policies and procedures.

Role Requirements

  • HNC in an Engineering related subject.
  • Recognised O&G discipline background.
  • Significant experience in similar role plus recognised discipline trade qualifications.
  • Demonstrate experience of fulfilling a senior engineer role with a proven background of delivery.
  • Conversant with construction project management process.
  • Demonstrable experience in the supervision of personnel and team working.
  • Good knowledge of O&G related safe working practices.
  • Delivery focused and committed to achievement of project goals.
  • BOSIET/Approved Offshore Medical - essential for an offshore position
