Duration: 3mths TBC

WorleyParsons are recruiting for 4 PTW Co-Ordinators, on an adhoc basis

Purpose / Role

It is essential that a competent person is appointed to coordinate and control the issue and return of Work Control Certificates (WCC's). That person should have an overview of all ongoing operations and planned work on site to avoid hazards caused by simultaneous activities

Key aims and objectives

The Issuing Authority (IA) will be responsible to the OIM for the safe control, operation and maintenance of plant and equipment, and of all planned work activities within their area of accountability in accordance with RSRUK procedures

Prime responsibilities and duties

The Issuing Authority will:

  • Ensure the appropriate level of Risk Assessment has been carried out
  • Liaise closely with the Performing Authority (PA) when planning work activities
  • Verify and issue WCC's
  • Approve when an Isolation may be moved under Sanction to Test (STT)
  • Check that WCC documentation is minimised and duplication of hazards and controls does not occur
  • Ensure adequate handovers take place at shift and crew change periods with the oncoming IA
  • Ensure that all appropriate pre-requisite control measures are in place prior to work commencing.
  • Confirm via discussion with the PA that they fully understand the scope of the task and the other members of the work party have been fully briefed, via the Toolbox Talk.
  • Ensuring all WCCs comply with the requirements of the ISSOW procedure
  • Undertake ISSOW audits and provide relevant feedback to platform OIM
  • Participate in the WCC planning meeting chaired by the platform OIM
  • Visit the worksite before, during and on completion of the work to ensure that the work is managed correctly

Skills / Qualifications

  • Technical apprenticeship or process operators training scheme
  • Additional skills and experience - Experienced in PTW or other similar major safe system of work as either Area Authority or Isolating Authority level
  • Experienced in checking the planning of isolation schemes
  • Excellent knowledge through working with hydrocarbon production systems
