Worley are currently recruiting for an Offshore Operations Supervisor / Deputy OIM for a permanent position for a the fixed installation in the final year of decommisioning.

We are looking for a highly skilled candidate to join our offshore team on the Dunlin project within UK waters.

The positions offer a two on and three off rota, a Dunlin bonus and a Dunlin retention package.

Key aims and objectives:

  • Conduct monthly safety meetings disseminating recent incidents and ensuring that issues raised are closed out in a timely manner
  • Participate in the investigation of any incidents as directed by the OIM
  • Ensure that all Overrides/Inhibits are managed and recorded
  • Review Deferment and Deviation Register to ensure the integrity of the platform is not compromised
  • Fulfil the role of Incident controller in the event of a GPA
  • Co-ordinate the investigation of operational problems associated with basic life support equipment and utilities
  • Supervise the operation of basic life support equipment and associated utilities
  • Ensure that operations are performed according to the conditions specified in consents and dispensations
  • Ensures that Operating Procedures are maintained up to date and are complied with
  • Contribute to the asset plans (both 28 and 90 day) to ensure operational targets are adequately addressed by the final plans and that the execution of the plan is achievable
  • Manage and control equipment handover
  • To maintain a safe and environmentally compliant working environment
  • Provide proactive, highly visible and well developed leadership
  • To support decommissioning project
  • To conform to statutory, corporate and contractual requirements / standards
  • To maintain operational integrity
  • To contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of work performed by the operations team.
  • To develop and realise operations team capability
  • To provide an emergency response capability
  • To provide assurance procedures and instructions are kept up to date and followed at all times
  • To investigate and eliminate downtime on basic life support systems

Qualifications & certification

Essential:

  • Appropriate NVQ/SVQ level 3 certification (E,I,M, or HC processing)

Desirable:

  • Technical apprenticeship (or similar process operators training scheme)
  • OR: Technical qualification as process plant operator, ideally at HNC level with NVQ/SVQ Level 2
  • OR: in lieu of formal technical qualifications, candidate may offer extensive experience and proven track record of consistently good performance as a production technician on an oil and gas processing facility

Ideally, candidates will also have the following experience:

  • Excellent knowledge of hydrocarbon production systems
  • Knowledge of mechanical, process instrumentation, and electrical systems
  • Good knowledge of fire and gas detection and ESD systems operation
  • Fully familiar with the permit to work system and other safety procedures
  • Numerate with the ability to interpret technical drawings and documents
  • Awareness of Offshore MAHs and specifically hydrocarbon production hazards
  • Good knowledge of business objectives and budgetary management

  • Good understanding of offshore production systems and equipment
  • Competent in the operation of computerised planned maintenance systems
  • Ability to carry out accident / incident investigations
  • Conducts root cause analysis
  • Proficient in conducting Risk Assessments
  • Provides technical guidance to maintenance staff
  • Knowledge and understanding of current legislation as applied offshore (hazardous areas, PUWER, LOLER, MHSWR, EAWA
  • Numerate with the ability to interpret technical drawings and documents
