Job Description

On behalf of our client, Primat has a requirement for a Pump Operator to join their FPSO team in the North Sea. This work is for a one-week trip, dating 30.08.2018-06.09.2018.

Our client provides international offshore production and support services and is one of the largest FPSO companies globally.

As a Pump Operator, you will be required to co-ordinate with the Marine Supervisor and Marine Control Room Operators to complete all marine task schedules and provide first hand operations and maintenance of the marine systems.

 

The role would suit someone with a Marine/hydraulic or Mechancial background.

 

Duties will include:

 

  • You will be responsible for the safe and cost effective operation and maintenance of the facility's marine systems including cargo and ballast equipment in the pump rooms, inert gas system valves, crude oil washing machines (COW), bilge pumps, valves and associated equipment with minimal environmental impact in accordance with legislation, class, flag and the compliance assurance management system (CAMS).
  • Implement planned and corrective maintenance on all pump room, cargo, ballast and inert gas system equipment offshore, in a safe and competent manner, to safeguard the availability and operating condition so that maximum compliance and production targets can be achieved.
  • Acts as an isolating authority for marine systems under the supervision of the Marine Supervisor and Marine Control Room Operators
  • Carry out pre and post offtake system checks including valve line ups for offtake and stripping operations
  • Implement statutory working practices and Health, Safety and Environmental Procedures and the Permit to Work System.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • OPITO Offshore Helideck Assistant (HDA)
  • Knowledge of FPSO / tanker operations and marine equipment maintenance
  • Basic Oil and Chemical Tanker Cargo Operations
  • BOSIET
  • OGUK medical
  • CA-EBS including shoulder width measurement
  • MIST
  • Strong personal and interpersonal skills.

Desireable but not essential as this role would suit someone with the following backgrounds:

  • Marine
  • Hydraulic
  • Mechanical
