Job Description

Primat Recruitment is working with a long-established food manufacturer based in North Yorkshire who have an immediate requirement for a mechanical maintenance technician to join their growing team on a permanent basis. Your basic working week will be between 40-48 hours however overtime is paid after 40 hours and there are plenty of opportunities for overtime and career advancement within the business.
There is ample parking on site and excellent commuter links to the A1.
In addition to the above, you will be entitled to a loyalty bonus after 2 years' service, high earning potential at Christmas and heavily discounted, delicious food products.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:
Routine and preventative maintenance of food manufacturing plant, conveyors, gearboxes, etc.
Breakdown and emergency repairs to mechanical machinery.
Ensuring that equipment and your work area are maintained in a safe and satisfactory condition.
Maintain written records associated with your role.

A reliable, self-starter, you will have a strong Mechanical bias with a recognised qualification, however experience of Electrical and/or TIG Welding would be a distinct advantage for this role.
You will also have experience of working within a FMCG Manufacturing environment, preferably in the food production arena.
