Job Description

Worley is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Supervisor for an outage starting 28th September 2019 for approximately 1 week

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to join our offshore team on the Tronox site, Stallingborough, Lincolnshire.

Key aims and objectives:

  • To perform all required discipline tasks, safely, consistently and in accordance with project requirements, procedures and specifications
  • To lead a team safely and successfully in shutdown environment

Role Requirements:

  • Read, understand and implement all applicable company / project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring at all times that the mechanical workscope is completed safely and to a high standard.
  • Oversee all workscope in accordance with applicable workpack / permit instructions, associated procedures and drawings / sketches
  • Provide support to team members where required.
  • Adhering to and raising applicable Permit to Work (PTW) & Method Statements (MS) in order to complete workscope in a controlled and safe manner .
  • Complete appropriate Risk Assessments (RA) in order to complete workscope in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Liaise with senior management and clients in order achieve mutual satisfactory job completion

All candidates should hold the following Qualifications & certification:

  • 4 Year Apprenticeship or Level 3 NVQ equivalent or City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering, maintenance/installation (MPS/IPS)
  • LATS Card or equivalent supervisory safety qualification
  • SMTD would be beneficial but not essential
  • CCNSG Safety Passport
  • Proof of eligibility to work in UK (passport or birth certificate

Ideally, candidates will also have the following experience:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members
  • Ability to lead by example
  • Demonstrate commitment to working safely at all times
  • Flexible - able to comply with company and client requirements
  • Ability to work with other team members/disciplines and in a multi-cultural environment
  • Confident and with an ability to work unsupervised and work on own initiative
  • Has a desire to achieve job objectives as part of a team
  • Supervisory experience within the industry
