Job Description

AFW UK Oil & Gas is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Build Engineer (multi-discipline) to join our Oil and Gas project delivery operation based in Aberdeen for a duration circa 12 months.

You will join the Operation and Maintenance Department which provides services to Oil and Gas facilities both onshore and offshore. The scope is bound by the equipment delivered by the project whether it is for direct revenue generation or to enable the plant to provide continuous production in future years. The Operations and Maintenance Function provides Maintenance Managers, Maintenance Engineers, CMMS Analysts, Permit Coordinators and Offshore Installation Managers to ensure that production and other performance targets, including health and safety, are met.

Key Responsibilities


*To perform Maintenance Build Engineer role for the delivery of Operations and Maintenance CMMS related projects, providing operational and discipline technical input.
*Deliver the project objectives for delivery of the maintenance management system included population and delivery of the Asset Register, Spare Parts Materials Register, perform Maintenance Analysis, develop Maintenance Strategies, Maintenance Tasks, Maintenance Instructions and Procedures, and prepare Preventative Maintenance Plans.
*To act as discipline engineer within the project, in managing and addressing technical queries to support the preparation of the maintenance management system and maintain project delivery quality and integrity.
*To communicate and deliver technical work scopes to the Operations & Maintenance delivery project in order to meet the project deliverables, schedule, quality and budget.
*Demonstrate commitment to safety through language, behavior and actions.
*Ensure project team are aware of their commitment to safety in compliance with Amec Foster Wheeler policies and procedures, including beyond zero, safety essentials and safety rules.
*Work within a diverse and multi-disciplined Operations & Maintenance delivery team.
*Maintain good communications with the client and visiting 3rd parties at all times, including all technical discipline interfaces.
*Attend regular update meetings internally and externally, with client representatives and project leadership, recording all information as appropriate.
*Develop and maintain internal / external communications networks to support project where necessary.
*Ensure full understanding of job description for your role(s) and be able to communicate project deliverables and expectations.
*Support and assist all Amec Foster Wheeler colleagues within the project team.
*Ensure the Operations & Maintenance work scopes are delivered in accordance with Amec Foster Wheeler standards, guidelines and project HSSEQ systems, including compliance with all relevant Regulations, Codes, Standards and procedures.
*Responsible for effective management and control of work through management of personal timesheets, CTR reporting, and estimates and forecasts against plan.
*Responsible for regular project reporting of own activities, both verbal and written, on weekly, and monthly planned activities and personal project performance.
*Identify and communicate scope growth and schedule changes in accordance with Amec Foster Wheeler Change Control process.
*Deliver the project objectives for delivery of the maintenance management system included population and delivery of the Asset Register, Spare Parts Materials Register, perform Maintenance Analysis, develop Maintenance Strategies, Maintenance Tasks, Maintenance Instructions and Procedures, and prepare Preventative Maintenance Plans.
*Maintain at all times the required high technical quality of work delivery and project control expected.
*Deliver the technical Operations & Maintenance scope deliverables in accordance with the delivery execution strategy.
*Ensure project plan and deliverables are fully understood and before work commences.
*As necessary, prepare project work instructions, procedures and processes to support project delivery.

Role Requirements


*Recognised BSc or BEng Engineering degree with comprehensive experience in the role as the discipline engineer.
*Demonstrable record of time spent delivering operations and maintenance project and candidate can offer an auditable track record of consistently good performance in the role.
*Experience of operations, maintenance reliability and asset integrity, with a substantial track record and proof of performance in a similar position.
*Extensive industry experience, in particular experience working in a similar position
*Excellent knowledge of maintenance, reliability and asset integrity strategy development, techniques and tools
*Good knowledge of common upstream and downstream oil and gas processing systems and equipment maintenance requirements
*Excellence in Maintenance Systems Build
*Good knowledge of associated industry regulations and legislation
*Good knowledge of computerised maintenance management systems and their set-up and development requirements
*Ability to prepare and justify maintenance workscope(s) and communicate plan(s)
