Job Description

WorleyParsons is recruiting for an Learning & Development Advisor to join our team in Aberdeen on a full-time, permanent basis.

The candidate will be an ambassador for WorleyParsons aims and values when it comes to all aspects of Learning & Development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish formal interface points between the company and the ECITB to ensure consistent and clear communication to effectively manage the relationship
  • Manage the grant support available to ensure the maximum level of return for all parts of the company's in scope operations
  • Share knowledge of ECITB products and programmes with the wider business
  • Work with the ECITB on the annual collection and reporting on information for levy calculation
  • Identify where the needs of the company could be met by existing ECITB products and programs
  • Work with the ECITB on the development of new training programs to meet the company's needs
  • Keep abreast of L&D best practice and industry developments
  • Provide general L&D professional support, as required
  • Other professional duties, as required

Key Aims and Objectives

  • Develop, review and implement a range of blended learning and development resources in support of business strategy delivery
  • Lead on L&D Projects including implementation of global learning strategies
  • Deliver on ECITB relationship strategy for WorleyParsons Services UK Ltd
  • Proactively manage the relationship between the company and the ECITB
  • Maximise the levy recovery annually
  • Demonstrate and promote the principles of WorleyParsons aims and values

Role Requirements

Qualifications/Training

Essential:

  • CIPD Chartered Member
  • A level/Higher English or equivalent
  • GCSE/Standard Grade Mathematics or equivalent

Desirable:

  • Degree qualified any subject
  • PGD HR Management

Experience

Essential:

  • Generalist HR or L&D experience at Advisor Level
  • Developmental planning and coaching experience
  • Essential experience can be over-ridden for potential cross-functional move for individuals with high potential

Desirable:

  • Experience in Learning and Development or Organisational Development
  • Experience of a matrix organisation
  • Experience of a fast paced evolving organisation
  • Supervisory experience - ability to lead and manage others
  • Senior Adviser level experience in another organisation

  • Ability to quickly build relationships and work with management and colleagues at all levels within the business
  • Ability to influence situations and problem solve to find solutions which are best for the business in line with best practice
  • Hands on person who likes to get involved in the detail and follow through on situations to completion
