Job Description

Scopus Engineering LTD are recruiting a Land Surveyor to join our basis on a contract basis for an initial 12 month duration.

Job Purpose:

  • To execute topographic and engineering surveys and undertake all relevant data processing as per client requirements.

Primary duties:

  • Attend planning / mobilisation brief with the Survey Co-Ordinator / Client and ensure that the Scope of Work and contract deliverables is fully understood.
  • Liaise with clients & supervisors involved in projects on site
  • Planning and efficiently organising work in order to meet agreed deadlines
  • Carry out work under guidance from Senior Land Surveyor
  • Carry out the Survey in accordance with Scopus Engineering Ltd Business Management System procedures
  • Data processing and production of deliverables
  • Preparing & Checking of drawings,3D models and reports
  • Promote a proactive safety culture by active participation in HSSE systems such as stop-cards

Required experience:

Essential:

  • Understanding and skilled application of all aspects of surveying
  • Experience carrying out Ground Penetrating Radar surveys

Desirable:

  • Experience as a Land/Engineering Surveyor

Qualifications / training required:

Essential:

  • Proficient use of 3D CAD packages (LSS, AutoCAD)
  • Proficient use of total stations and GNSS systems
  • Proficient in use of Ground Penetrating Radar equipment

  • Full driving license

Desirable:

  • BSc in Surveying or other relevant subject
  • CSCS card
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate to clients
  • Must be organized and work in methodical manner
  • Good organization skills
  • Good team work
