Job Description

Specialist Equipments Solutions a wholly owed subsidiary of WorleyParsons are looking for Instrument Technician to join their onshore team based in Altens, Aberdeen.

The positions are ongoing and will be paid in line with the SJIB agreement.

Job Title: Instrument Technician

Job Number: 2018-11037

Location: Altens, Aberdeen - ONSHORE

Key aims and objectives:

  • To maintain SES / Client owned Plant & Equipment
  • Produce certification, quotations and fault reports as required.
  • Carry out inspections of plant and equipment for signs of damage and record any damage.
  • Maintain all records
  • Comply with SES safe systems of work for workshop based tasks to ensure high standards of health and safety are maintained
  • Stock control of equipment and spare parts

All candidates must have the following qualification:

  • Instrumentation Apprenticeship to SVQ/NVQ level 3 or above

Ideally, candidates will also have the following experience:

  • Extensive experience in servicing, repair and calibrate a wide range of electrical, pressure and environmental test equipment
  • Experience in maintaining plant and equipment
  • Experience in planning and co-ordinating
  • Experience in writing calibration procedures

Competencies:

  • Competent in working on a variety of instrumentation
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft office products such as Excel and Word
  • Competent in the use of calibration software
  • Fault finding to component level
