Job Description

Worley is looking for an HSE Manager to join the Senior Management team at Worley Field Services in Grimsby.

Role Overview

You will join the Health Safety Security and Environment Department (HSE) which provides support for the business and project delivery by ensuring the implementation of the HSSE management systems across all oil and gas projects both onshore and offshore. This will align to Worley Health and Safety ethos. HSE management is responsible for facilitating and organising HSE processes to ensure a proactive approach to HSE management including goal setting, planning, and implementation of processes and providing monitoring and assurance to line and functional leadership on the effectiveness of the implementation. Attaining a sustainable incident free workplace and environment requires a strong commitment from leadership, management and all individuals. HSE Management is responsible for providing the support and guidance required to achieve this by promoting an enthusiastic HSE culture that delivers positive commitment to and engages all project team members.

Projects

Your skills and expertise will be utilised across a range of domestic and international projects, starting in the bid phase, continuing through to award, start up and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • The position will support Company Management on all issues relating to HSE and ensure the availability of competent advisors and team leaders to meet the business requirements.
  • The position will be responsible for developing and implementing the company HSE Strategy
  • Lead and provide functional management of HSE personnel under their control.
  • Principal position within the HSE team; demonstrate HSE leadership and promote company safety programs.
  • Play a primary role in providing guidance, support and advice regarding HSE issues.
  • Maintain positive relationships with Client Representatives and Project Management to ensure Client and business needs are understood and achieved.
  • Monitor compliance against HSE improvement plans.
  • Be aware of Client HSE requirements and Worley Guiding Principles and actively promote adherence with Industry Best Practice.
  • Monitor current project work scopes and ensure HSE support is suitably resourced.
  • Commitment to and promotion of Worley values and ensuring the realisation of company and project health, safety, environmental, quality and ethics, systems, policies and procedures
  • Responsible for HSE KPI reporting

Qualifications and Experience

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent or NEBOSH General Certificate and degree
  • Lead Auditor (Certified)
  • IOSH Managing Environmental Responsibilities (or Similar)
  • Management Skills
  • Line Manager Responsibility
  • Experience of working in a blue collar contracting environment
  • In depth knowledge of HSE legislation and best practice
  • Senior position in other Projects/companies
  • Self-managing, effective person, focused on delivery of actions
  • Committed to making a positive impact on HSE performance and achieving a high level of Safety leadership
