Job Description

Our client one of the largest UK independent oil producers in the UK North Sea are currently looking for a Offshore HSE Advisor for an Ad Hoc trip of 3 weeks.

  • Provision of HS&E related information, advice and support to the Site Management team and wider workforce, coaching and training of Occupational HSE matters
  • Promote continual focus regarding Major Accident Hazards, performance standards and the Safety Case
  • Ensure awareness and focus is maintained regarding compliance to Environmental consents and permits
  • Ensure completion of site audits (level 3)
  • Hazard management; HS&E Systems monitoring, maintenance, review and development (including Continual Improvement Plan); Incident Investigation with RCA facilitation
  • Safety Representative and Environmental liaison and coaching
  • Proactively work with Site Safety and Environmental Representatives to encourage involvement in asset activities including incident investigation and reporting HSE related audits and other activities
  • Proactively and systematically monitor site activities to help ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures and standards
  • Support actions and campaigns related to annual HSE Continual Improvement Plan
  • Support Site Management in the investigation, reporting and analysis of incidents
  • Monitor progress and implementation of corrective actions arising from related Incident, Near Miss reports. Stewarding of incident finding and actions to conclusion

Health:

  • Implement and co-ordinate Occupational Health Management System, liaising closely with the Medic and Onshore support

Safety:

  • Champion awareness of Life Saving Rules and behavioural expectations
  • Assist n effective management and implementation of ISSOW and associated risk management systems
  • Provide Control of Work (CoW) coaching and act as an expert of CoW processes and requirements
  • Support the Risk Assessment process for CoW, SARA, ORA and WORA
  • Responsible for co-ordinating and leading the ORA process detailed in the ORA procedure. Act as single point contact responsible for ORA implementation and monitoring
  • Lead and support Hazard Management Programmes - e.g. DROPS, Benzene, Asbestos and H2S
  • Support awareness and compliance culture to platform Safety Case, Performance Standards and Major Environmental Impact assessment, ensuring guidance from Technical Authorities is sought

Experience

  • An excellent understanding of field development practices and processes. Sound knowledge of current and proposed legislation and impact on UKCS Oil and Gas delivery
  • Extensive experience and understanding of work practice risk assessment techniques, permit to work processes and other key integration processes which contribute to safe working practices
  • Thorough understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental regulation and the practical implementation thereof
  • North Sea experience, preferably with an Operator working at a similar level and someone who can demonstrate a passion for HS&E

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential

  • Experience in a similar position
  • NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent
  • Radiation Protection Supervisor
  • Experience of ISSOW
  • COSHH assessor
  • Manual handling assessor
  • Incident investigation experience
