Job Description

Primat Recruitment is recruiting for a Foundations Installation Engineer to join a multinational, world leader within the renewable energy sector to assist with their Offshore Wind Farm (OWF) project based in Brittany, France. The position is based within London, and is due to last for 2 years.


As a Foundations Installation Engineer, you will ensure full compliance with technical, quality and health and safety aspects of the foundation transport and installation works.

You will join a multidisciplinary team, providing ad-hoc support on technical, commercial and planning aspects for the relevant OWF Project. You will provide support, primarily for the Foundation, Transport and Installation package.

The service will be varied, so the successfull candidate may need to be flexible and provide support to multiple other packages/interfaces.This may include as an example interfaces with the Foundation Desing and Supply packages, Marine Warranty Surveyor, Gripper Supplier.

Key Responsabilities

  • Responsible for specific sub-work package as defined by Package Manager.
  • Review method statements and risk assessments and produce comments sheets.
  • Review engineering calculations (in general) and identify issues / risks to the Project.
  • Provide input to the risk and programme analysis.
  • Respond to technical queries or interface with other packages/Contractors to resolve queries
  • Prepare tender documents for sub-work packages as defined by Package Manager;
  • Evaluate tender offers and prepare technical and commercial evaluations;
  • Promote a strong, clear and positive health and safety culture
  • Implement the Client installation management procedures and ensure compliance with marine, lifting
    and simultaneous operations.
  • Time to time attendance to meetings, and participation in the required discussions, at the project
    offices, as well as at the Contractors and Site offices.
  • Coordination with the relevant department(s) for assurances, use, compliance and production of
    company standards, knowledge transfer, line management, etc.
  • Production of regular reports.

Qualifcations and Certificates

  • Degree qualified in an engineering subject.
  • Previous experience with OWF Projects.
  • Knowledge of Offshore Wind Installation, Heavy Lift Operations and Marine Operations.
  • Experience on WTG foundations installation is required.
  • Highly developed communication skills and interpersonal, particularly related to multicultural relationships, and ability to present effectively to management teams.
  • Strong understanding of H&S legislation applicable to offshore operations.
  • Experience of managing interfaces of multidisciplinary teams spread across multiple locations.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft office applications.
  • Flexible approach to working hours in order to ensure the delivery of planned and unplanned activities.

Desireable

Exerience on piles drilling and subsea drilling equipment is desirable.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Availability to supervise offshore works (Offshore stint duration of 14 to 30 days)
  • Experience with standards & guidelines adopted for, or applicable to the project.
  • Flexibility to travel between Client and Contractor offices and sites in Western Europe.
