Job Description

Worley are looking for a Financial Accountant to join our team based in Aberdeen on a fixed-term basis until April 2020.

Role Overview

Following a recent acquisition, you will take ownership of certain control processes, assuring the flow of data and cash between entities during a transitional period of change with ongoing contract novations creating constant change in the legal and commercial landscape.

Responsibilities and duties

Working for the Financial Analyst, and as apart of the wide team, you will quickly set up and stabilize processes, ensuring that control over cash and debtors ledgers in all affected entities is maintained by:

  • Liaising with legal team to make sure that information on contract novations is always up to date
  • Liaising with acquired entities to ensure control processes are fully understood and being followed, and that information flow to operations is at the right level.
  • Managing complex ongoing reconciliation of cash, debtors ledgers, and other balance sheet accounts impacted by novation process.
  • Liaising with local Tax department to ensure that VAT is being handled correctly on all sides.
  • Liaising with local Treasury department to ensure cash transactions are linked into cash flow forecasting and funding processes

Role Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant
  • Excellent data analyst
  • Logical, process driven, valuing of high level of accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills, able to simply report on and explain complex processes and data-sets
  • ERP experience - ideally, Oracle.
