Job Description

Primat is seeking a NICEIC qualified electrical supervisor to begin work on a 12 week contact in Hull, with the view to making the placement permananent after the 12 week duration.

A Qualified Supervisor is the electrically competent person with
specific responsibility for the safety, technical standard and quality of electrical installation work completed under their supervision (NICEIC).


To use individual knowledge and experience to supervise, complete and assist with jobs within and on behalf of the company to the highest possible standard within different aspects of installations, electrical, Fire Alarms, emergency lighting. All work must comply with current applicable Regulations, Standards and Procedures for
Electrical works. To complete any related paperwork required to comply with company and NICEIC requirements.

Job Duties:

  1. Ensure that works are carried out safely, efficiently and to a high standard of workmanship.
  2. Ensure that skills are refreshed and updated when required to keep up to date with current electrical procedures and practices.
  3. Work closely with electricians on the job to make sure they are completing tasks correctly and efficiently, as well as working individually and being able to personally check and review your own work in order to pick up on any issues that need addressing.
  4. Keep work areas safe and clear of hazards as far as is reasonably practical.
  5. Comply with company procedures relating to the job as may be introduced or altered to satisfy customer/supplier/company requirements.
  6. Maintain the equipment issued and used to ensure trouble free availability to meet job demands. Check equipment before each use and report any problems to the Electrical Manager.

Experience:

  1. Good reading, writing and communication ability.
  2. Ability to accurately follow instructions.
  3. Approved Electrician qualified to QS Level.
  4. Full driving Licence.
  5. Ability to work within a team and individually.
  6. Good concentrating and an eye for detail in order to quickly pick up on problems that need addressing.
  7. CSCS Card holder.
