Job Description

Worley is currently looking to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Build Engineer to join our Oil and Gas project delivery operation based in Aberdeen city centre for a duration circa 12 months.

You will join the Operation and Maintenance Department providing services to our customers to meet the worlds changing resource and energy needs. The Operations and Maintenance Function provides specialist resources across the energy sector to ensure that our customer's projects are executed and delivered, meeting production, performance, and health and safety targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • To perform Maintenance Build Engineer role for the delivery of Operations and Maintenance CMMS related projects, providing operational and discipline technical input.
  • Deliver the project objectives for delivery of the maintenance management system included population and delivery of the Asset Register, Spare Parts Materials Register, perform Maintenance Analysis, develop Maintenance Strategies, Maintenance Tasks, Maintenance Instructions and Procedures, and prepare Preventative Maintenance Plans.
  • To act as discipline engineer within the project, in managing and addressing technical queries to support the preparation of the maintenance management system and maintain project delivery quality and integrity.
  • To communicate and deliver technical work scopes to the Operations & Maintenance delivery project in order to meet the project deliverables, schedule, quality and budget.

HSSE

  • Demonstrate commitment to safety through language, behaviour and actions.
  • Ensure project team are aware of their commitment to safety in compliance with Worley policies and procedures, including beyond zero, safety essentials and safety rules.

Management and Leadership

  • Work within a diverse and multi-disciplined Operations & Maintenance delivery team.
  • Maintain good communications with the client and visiting 3rd parties at all times, including all technical discipline interfaces.
  • Attend regular update meetings internally and externally, with client representatives and project leadership, recording all information as appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain internal / external communications networks to support project where necessary.
  • Ensure full understanding of job description for your role(s) and be able to communicate project deliverables and expectations.
  • Support and assist all Worley colleagues within the project team.

Project Control

  • Ensure the Operations & Maintenance work scopes are delivered in accordance with Worley standards, guidelines and project HSSEQ systems, including compliance with all relevant Regulations, Codes, Standards and procedures.
  • Responsible for effective management and control of work through management of personal timesheets, CTR reporting, and estimates and forecasts against plan.
  • Responsible for regular project reporting of own activities, both verbal and written, on weekly, and monthly planned activities and personal project performance.
  • Identify and communicate scope growth and schedule changes in accordance with Worley Change Control process.

Technical Delivery

  • Deliver the project objectives for delivery of the maintenance management system included population and delivery of the Asset Register, Spare Parts Materials Register, perform Maintenance Analysis, develop Maintenance Strategies, Maintenance Tasks, Maintenance Instructions and Procedures, and prepare Preventative Maintenance Plans.
  • Maintain at all times the required high technical quality of work delivery and project control expected.
  • Deliver the technical Operations & Maintenance scope deliverables in accordance with the delivery execution strategy.
  • Ensure project plan and deliverables are fully understood and before work commences.
  • As necessary, prepare project work instructions, procedures and processes to support project delivery.

Continuous Improvement

  • Responsible for implementing and supporting effective working practices and systems as required to continuously improve system delivery, for personal and team performance and maintain best practice.
  • Assure continued personal development by keeping up-to-date with related technical developments, national and international legislative requirements and standards, particularly as related to operations and maintenance related activities.
  • Help foster improved Operations & Maintenance technical capabilities across the Worley organisation.

Occasional Duties

  • Assist Worley in technical support and input to tenders and pre-qualifications.
  • Present and demonstrate Operations & Maintenance methodologies and achievements to internal and external customers as required.
  • Support Worley Leadership team in allied duties where requested.
  • Deputise for lead engineer in their absence, where applicable

Role Requirements

  • Recognised BSc or BEng Engineering degree with comprehensive experience in the role as the discipline engineer
  • Demonstrable record of time spent delivering operations and maintenance project and candidate can offer an auditable track record of consistently good performance in the role
  • Experience of operations, maintenance reliability and asset integrity, with a substantial track record and proof of performance in a similar position.
  • Excellent knowledge of maintenance, reliability and asset integrity strategy development, techniques and tools
  • Good knowledge of common upstream and downstream oil and gas processing systems and equipment maintenance requirements
  • Excellence in Maintenance Systems Build
  • Good knowledge of associated industry regulations and legislation
  • Good knowledge of computerised maintenance management systems and their set-up and development requirements
  • Ability to prepare and justify maintenance workscope(s) and communicate plan(s)
  • Ability to communicate comfortably and at ease with senior management and technical specialists
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly motivated and eager to contribute to continuous improvement
  • Confident and assertive
