Crane Operator

Job Description

The work scope will primarily involve operating and maintaining one of our knuckle boom hire cranes and two of our electric HPUs. Should there be a fault or breakdown with the spread, the individual will be expected to resolve the issue and return the equipment to an operational state. We will have tooling and spares onboard. Additionally the individual will be supported by technical staff onshore when issues arise.

In addition to the above, when not operating or maintaining the crane/ hire spread, the individual will be required to assist our clients team onboard the Dunlin with Well plug and abandonment activities, this will be under the direct instruction of the team onboard. No prior workover/ drilling experience is necessary. This part of the work is of a manual nature and can be quite intensive.

  • Time served Hydraulic Technician or Mechanical Technician with proven hydraulic experience
  • Stage 2 crane operator qualified, with previous experience operating in a marine or offshore environment. However, should an individual with strong enough hydraulic background be presented then this training could be provided by ourselves
  • Previous offshore experience is necessary
