Job Description

WorleyParsons are currently recruiting a Cost Engineer based at our Rubislaw Office in Aberdeen on a permanent basis.

Key aims and objectives

  • Ensure all work executed is in line with Corporate and project specific procedures
  • In conjunction with senior members of the team provide all budget holders with the relevant information to make forward looking informed decisions and highlight any areas of concern
  • Responsible for update and issue of all required cost reports
  • Responsible for reviewing, challenging, maintaining and monitoring of all costs

Prime responsibilities and duties

  • Delivery of all aspects of cost management to the Client and WorleyParsons stakeholders

o Value of Work Done

o Cost Reports

o Forecast analysis

o Budget analysis

o Earned Value analysis

  • Review/ analyse and develop monthly forecasts in conjunction with the responsible Project Engineer
  • Review all estimates and changes prior to submission to the Client and ensure that the cost report is updated with the latest budget information
  • Maintain and update the EcoSys structure within the agreed parameters and GBS structure
  • Participate in project risk sessions

Qualifications/Training

Essential:

  • Relevant industry experience

Desirable:

  • HNC / HND or Degree in relevant discipline

Experience

Essential:

  • Previous cost experience
  • Knowledge of and experience using all Microsoft Office applications

Desirable:

  • Previous industry cost experience
  • Understanding of scheduling software
  • Previous experience of EcoSys or other web based cost tools
  • Experience of Oracle Systems
