Job Description

Job Title: Construction Superintendent - ELECTRICAL

Project: IOG Pheonix

Location: Bacton Terminal - ONSHORE POSITION

Duration: min. 6 weeks

Start Date: asap

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to join our onshore team at Bacton Terminal

Key Objective:

  • To ensure that all project/company HSE goals are achieved and where possible exceeded
  • Ensure that all personnel are aware of/implement safe working practices/procedure and are provided with a safe working environment
  • Ensure all work is prepared and executed in accordance with both Company and Client processes and procedures.

Prime Responsibilities:

  • Safety leadership
  • Understand and ensure compliance with appropriate technical standards and specifications
  • Lead and manage a multi-discipline construction team
  • Understand construction/commissioning activities and methods
  • Understand client PTW / TRA processes
  • Execute construction activities
  • Prepare resource plans to ensure suitable resources are available to execute the works, in accordance with the agreed plan. This to include the necessary tooling and temporary requirements which are to be managed and controlled in a cost-effective manner
  • Input and support to daily and weekly planning schedules and coordination meetings
  • Involvement with the management of and input to shutdown planning
  • Co-ordinate the mobilisation and de-mobilisation of resources
  • Ensure personnel are competent to perform their work
  • Review and execute construction plans
  • Act as Worley co-ordinator for administrative duties, etc to ensure the efficient and effective utilisation of resources
  • Monitor progress and report on performance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • HSSE leadership and drive
  • Ensuring all incidents and near misses are reported and lessons learned
  • Drive ownership of HSSE through team
  • Lead by example delivering Worley behaviours
  • Provide positive leadership on HSSE issues

Required Qualifications & Certifications:

  • Minimum HNC in a related Engineering subject
  • Recognised O&G discipline background
  • Fully conversant with Project Management Systems with extensive knowledge of construction practices and procedures
  • IT Literate (Excel / Word / Powerpoint etc)
  • CCNSG safety passport
  • Worley mandatory training, induction, risk awareness, etc.

Ideally, candidates will also have the following experience:

Demonstrable experience in a similar role in Oil and Gas construction management

  • Delivery focused with proven experience in achieving project goals whilst maintaining high standards in HSSE at all times
  • Extensive knowledge of the construction process, its implementation and management. Fully conversant with project management tools
  • Experienced in the production of detailed procedures/documents/reports
  • Experienced in the management of personnel and all aspects of team working
  • Extensive knowledge of O&G related HSSE safe working practices/procedures
  • Ability to deliver training to personnel within the construction team - commitment to develop team members
  • Ability to interface and interact with Management and Client Representatives at all levels
  • Ability to work both at the project and corporate levels
