WorleyParsons are recruiting a Construction Superintendent on an ad-hoc basis to mobilise out of Aberdeen

Job Title: Construction Superintendent
Ref No: 2018 / 11821
Location: GP3 FPSO, UKNS
Project: TOTAL
Duration: 2 x 3-week trips

Prime responsibilities:

  • Safety leadership
  • Understand and ensure compliance with appropriate technical standards and specifications
  • Lead and manage a multi-discipline construction team
  • Understand construction/commissioning activities and methods
  • Understand client PTW / TRA processes
  • Execute construction activities
  • Prepare resource plans to ensure suitable resources are available to execute the works, in accordance with the agreed plan
  • Input and support daily and weekly planning schedules and co-ordination meetings
  • Involvement with the management of and input to shutdown planning
  • Co-ordinate the mobilisation and de-mobilisation of resources
  • Ensure personnel are competent to perform their work
  • Review and execute construction plans
  • Act as WorleyParsons co-ordinator for administrative duties to ensure the efficient and effective utilisation of resources
  • Monitor progress and report on performance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Completion of probationary evaluations and assessments in accordance with WorleyParsons competency assurance system

Required experience:

  • Demonstrable experience in similar role or Senior position in Oil and Gas construction management
  • Delivery focused with proven experience in achieving project goals whilst maintaining high standards in HSEQ always
  • Extensive knowledge of the construction process, its implementation and management
  • Fully conversant with project management tools
  • Experienced in the production of detailed procedures / documents / reports
  • Experienced in the management of personnel and all aspects of team working
  • Extensive knowledge of O&G related HSEQ safe working practices and procedures
  • Ability to deliver training to personnel within the construction team - commitment to develop team members.
  • Ability to interface and interact with Management and Client Representatives at all levels.
  • Ability to work both at project and corporate levels

Qualifications and certification:

  • Minimum HNC in a related subject
  • Recognised O&G discipline background
  • Fully conversant with Project Management Systems with extensive knowledge of Project Hook Up / Construction practices and procedures
  • IT Literate (Excel / Word / PowerPoint etc) with experience in JMS
  • BOSIET
  • Approved Offshore Medical
  • WorleyParsons mandatory training, induction, risk awareness, etc.
