Job Description

We are currently sourcing a Senior Construction Manager to join the Engineering Procurement and Construction Management Team supporting our operations at Teesside.

Worley are executing a number of FEED, Detail Design and Construction Projects on a portfolio basis for a leading Petrochemicals organization on the Wilton International site.

The candidate will be a Construction Manager with a proven track record in brownfield onshore petrochemical development projects, preferably with experience of working within the Wilton and North Tees Sites and having an understanding of the local constraints and site practices.

Duties include, but are not limited to

  • Compliance with the Worley SHE Policy and OneWay Integrity Management Framework
  • Foster and promote a positive working environment and attitude that reflects the Contract Mission Statement, Worley Strategy, Ethics and Code of Conduct and Client values
  • Development and communication of overall Construction and Commissioning Strategies in Conjunction with Project Management
  • Leadership of overall Construction effort and instigation of the Team
  • Oversee and Manage all Construction, Vendor Assistance and Service Contracts on the Project in accordance with relevant contracts laws, plans and procedures
  • Development of Construction Schedule/Programmes in accordance with overall Project Management
  • Attendance at Design/Safety Reviews for Constructability and Safety input to Engineering and Scope Development
  • Monitoring and approval subordinate hours
  • Input and review of weekly progress reports and monthly Construction reports with Project Controls
  • Approve Site Contract Applications and Valuation Certificates
  • Construction Monthly Forecast / Review
  • Review the Construction Status weekly with Client Construction Manager, and maintain communications and relationship throughout the Contract
  • Input and review of Construction Contract status with Contracts Engineer
  • Arrange and consult competent specialist advice as necessary
  • Pro-active communication of construction issues with project management for purposes of risk management with the aim of overall project success

Duties may include support to Worley business interests outside the Projects outlined above including business development activities.

Degree / HNC (or equivalent)

IOSH Managing Safely In Construction or equivalent

Significant experience in brownfield EPCM/EPC/PMC Projects.

Proven track record construction/site management.

Excellent technical communication and coordination skills.

Leadership experience

Minimum HND/HNC level

Technical Engineering background
