Job Description

Our client are a well established Design, Engineering, Welding, Machining & Manufacturing small business and require a person who is a time served and qualified Welder with experience in batch and one-off work to a high standard.

Hours: 39/wk

Monday - Thursday (7.30am to 4.00pm ) Friday (7.30am to 3.00pm) Overtime may be available.

Wage Rate -Negotiable

The successful candidate will be coded to level: EN ISO 15614-1 (Level 2) & DNVGL-OS4-401C:2015. The role is to carry out works instructions associated with welding tasks in ferrous metals using MAG, for thicknesses 3mm to 40mm. All work must comply with applicable Standards and Welding Procedure Specifications for NDT inspection. You will be working in our fabrication department with other welders as a member of a versatile and flexible team. Attention to detail, Health & Safety, Environment and Quality is priority for our customers and the business. Temporary contract with prospects for permanent employment for the right candidate.

  • Good numeracy
  • Good reading/writing/verbal communication
  • Good ability to follow instructions
  • Team player
  • Knowledge and experience Coded Welding to pass NDT and inspection
  • Full driving licence (occasional site work may be required)
  • Fork truck license - 3 tonne counterbalances preferred.
  • Health and Safety Certificate or H&S Passport or similar qualification
  • Proven experience in a similar environment
  • Physical ability and knowledge to carry out safe manual lifting, slinging and securing of stock materials and finished assemblies safely.
