Job Description

Our client is an established company and they are constantly pursuing new ways to improve the services and products they offer. An opportunity has arisen for an Architectural Technician to join their team.

This is the ideal role for an Architectural Technician looking to develop their career within this fantastic company.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience.

Our client offers flexible working hours working Monday*Friday.

As an Architectural Technician, you will be working within a busy team on a variety of projects including Domestic, Commercial, Industrial and Small and Large scale Residential sectors.

Your duties will include:

  • Working on different projects within the sectors outlined.
  • Measuring surveys.
  • Liaising with planning departments.
  • Using AutoCAD, Sketchup, Microsoft Office and Photoshop.
  • Consulting with external clients.

To be considered for the role of Architectural Technician, you must have:

  • Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD and Sketchup, being proficient with Photoshop would be a strong advantage but not essential.
  • A strong understanding of planning law and UK building regulations.
  • The ability to demonstrate strong technical knowledge and construction detailing.
  • Experience with Job Running and Measured Surveys.
  • Personal motivation and discipline to work independently as well as within a team environment.
  • Clear, concise and effective written and verbal communication skills essential in working with internal teams and external clients and consultants.
  • Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience.
  • HND/HNC or Equivalent.

Additionally, an MCIAT qualification would be a strong advantage but not essential.

Your own transport is essential due to the nature of the job.
