Emma Boydell

My career started back when in the days of AMEC when I was 18 and I started working in the Shared Service Centre in Darlington as HR Assistant.  Since then I have worked for many different parts of the business doing a variety of HR roles, Recruitment and most recently Contractor Assurance.  I have seen the business change a lot over the years from the various mergers, sales and name changes and been a part of lots of different teams.

No two days are the same in my role with Primat.  It is a very varied role and you never know what the day is going to throw at you, but the main part of my role is to ensure that all contractors are engaged, onboarded, paid and are managed in a compliant way. I am the first point of contact for the contractors who work on the projects that fall under my remit.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, I have two young children who keep me very busy indeed!  We like to enjoy days out doing things like swimming, bike rides etc…. I also enjoy baking in my spare time (not that I have much spare time these days 😊)
