Joining Primat - my story

13th February 2017

I made the move to join Primat Recruitment, having worked alongside them previously in my role as a Recruiter at Amec Foster Wheeler.  To me, Primat looked like an exciting business with an interesting group of customers, a strong candidate base and lots of opportunity to grow in the years to come.  I believe that I chose the right time to join as 2016 was a year of real growth and development for Primat.  As a result, there are a number of new faces in the business and together we’re targeting further opportunities to add value to both our existing and new customers in 2017.

Primat’s a great environment for customer focused sales and business development people, like me, who are self-motivated and thrive in a targeted and results driven environment.  The business has a really flexible approach to how we structure our service to clients.  Our emphasis is on building long term partnerships by focusing on solving the problems our customers face or the opportunities they are trying to capture, not trying to sell something they don’t need.  In simple terms, this means I get to be creative and challenge myself to find the best possible way to deploy all of Primat’s capabilities in a way that will solve my customer’s challenges, supporting them and developing their approach to reach the next level.

It’s been a busy and fast paced first six months in my role at Primat, which I’ve really enjoyed.  From what I’ve seen in the work we’re doing, I’m confident the business will continue to grow.  So, as you’d expect, we’re always on the lookout for talented people; whether you are relatively inexperienced, or have a strong track record in servicing client accounts or generating new business.  As the company expands, I’m sure there will be lots of opportunity for people, who like me crave the fast pace of a growing business and the variation from presenting to directors in FTSE company offices, to putting on a high-viz vest and getting their shoes muddy!

I’ll write again to let you know how things continue to unfold during the year. But in the meantime, if my experience sounds like one you want too, please get in touch with me and we can talk about it!
