Primat Recruitment, on behalf of AMEC seeks a Production Operations Engineer for a long term contract role to be based in London. The role will commence in the New Year. You will provide operations advice during FEED stage to ensure the design meets targets for safety, reliability and operability and maintainability as well as addressing technical queries relating to operations across all disciplines and for subsea, hull and topside systems. The role works across systems and across EPC interfaces addressing subsea, topsides and hull work scopes. This includes introducing best practice into the design to ensure reliability and operability. You will also act as O&M focal point on maintenance Lifecycle Costs for client development of a cost model. In order to apply, you must have: • an Engineering degree in a relevant discipline plus proven track record of operations experience in the oil and gas industry OR • a Technical apprenticeship or process operators training scheme at HNC level with NVQ/SVQ Level 2 OR • a HNC / NVQ3 or equivalent in hydrocarbon processing with extensive proven track record of operations experience within the Oil & Gas industry OR • a scientific qualification (degree equivalent) with significant Production Operations experience within the Oil & Gas industry. The right candidate will also have: • Excellent knowledge through working with hydrocarbon production systems • Gas processing knowledge and operating experience. Experience of gas compressor and turbine maintenance • Knowledge of mechanical, process instrumentation and electrical systems • Good knowledge of fire and gas detection and ESD systems operation • Fully familiar with the permit to work system and other safety procedures • Awareness of hydrocarbon production hazards • Sound understanding of reservoir management issues and well performance • Experience of Opex budgeting • Substantial experience of maintenance aspects of offshore equipment. • Working knowledge of industry best practice • Good knowledge of CMMS structures, functionality and processes.
