Purpose / Role • To undertake the day to day management and planned preventative maintenance of the fixed and portable fire fighting systems/equipment Key aims and objectives • To provide the focal point for all fixed and portable firs systems maintenance across the NEC Group’s property portfolio Prime Responsibilities and Duties • To Provide a cost effective service delivery with regards to planned and reactive maintenance to the fixed fire systems (sprinklers) and portable fire fighting equipment (extinguishers) • To provide reactive response as and when required to undertake replacement of discharged fire extinguishers and to ensure that these are duly replenished and return to site stock. • To undertake day to day repairs to screwed pipe work, i.e. replacement sprinkler heads and branch pipe work Allied occasional duties • To undertake the lead role in the annual cause and effects testing across the NEC main site Key internal interfaces • All of the SPIE site delivery team Key external interfaces • Client representatives • Local Authority representatives Core competencies • FETA Approved Engineer • Time management • Financial P & L knowledge Person Specification Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills The knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience relevant to the position are: Essential • FETA Trained and Approved • Computer literate (Word, Excel, etc) • IOSH Managing Safely Desirable • Mechanical systems awareness • Pipe work fitting • IPAF • Fork Lift Truck • NEBOSH Fire Cert.
