Primat Recruitment, an expanding resourcing company within the AMEC Group, is seeking an Electrical Pre-commissioning Engineer Based in Great Yarmouth on a contract basis. This is an offshore role on a 2/2 rotation. Purpose / Role: Accountability for the consistent and safe management of Electrical pre commissioning workscope, delivering fully pre commissioned electrical systems / sub-systems in accordance with project requirements [procedures and processes], schedule and budget. Key aims and objectives: • To play an active role in ensuring that all Project HSE goals are achieved and where possible exceeded. • To process safe completion of system pre commissioning in line with the project schedule and milestones, ensuring all systems are handed over in a consistent and timely manner. • To assisst in maintenance of project budget through dilligence and utilisation of efficient and effective working practices. Prime responsibilities and duties: • Identification of sub-system limits and updating of limits in line with latest revision of P&ID's / SLD's [in conjunction with completions personnel] • Supervise and support Pre Commissioning Technicians in the execution of their daily activities • Verification of the Completions / Pre Commissioning management database in line with applicable project procedures and latest design data. • Completion of Pre Commissioning Function Test Procedures (FTP's) and liasion with construction and completions personnel . • Verification and acceptance of mechanical completion and Pre commissioning handover packages in line with the agreed system handover schedule. • Ensuring Pre commissioning data, documentation and handover are in accordance with project procedures. • Adherence to all applicable site/project safety procedures / active participation in all company/project safety initiatives. • Status reporting of Pre commissioning progress as required by the project. • Identification & sourcing of Pre Commissioning tools / spares / consumables • Production of Pre commissioning work packs in line with project procedures • Co-ordination of equipment vendors / subcontractors during Pre commissioning activities. • Identification of PTW requirements and the raising of applicable permits to cover Pre commissioning workscope Qualifications/Training: Essential: • ONC Electrical Engineering or related subject • BOSIET / UKOOA Medical (or equivalent) • AMEC Mandatory Training (Induction, Risk Assessment etc) • IT literate [Excel / Word / Powerpoint etc. Desirable: • HNC/HND Electrical Engineering or related subject • PTW Training • HAZID / HAZOP Training • COMPEX Experience: Essential: • Demonstrable experience in a Electrical Commissioning Engineer or similar role with a proven background of delivery. • Conversant with the completions process and associated completions management software [WinPCS, Mancon, EDS etc.]. • Experienced in the supervision of personnel and team working. • Good knowledge of O&G related SHEQ safe working practices / procedures. Desirable: • Offshore experience in similar role • Planning and cost control experience
